The Association
The Asociación Civil Casa Taller Delfín Civil Association works on the preservation, documentation, research, and dissemination of the artistic and cultural legacy of Victor Delfin (1927–), one of the most important Peruvian artists of his generation.
From its House-Workshop in Barranco, the Association preserves works, documents, images, audiovisual records, and other materials that account for more than seven decades of artistic creation and participation in Peru's cultural life.
Our Work
HOUSE WORKSHOP:
We preserve the space where Víctor Delfín has lived and worked for more than five decades and we document his cultural history.
COLLECTION:
We record, document, and preserve the works and objects that make up the collection under the custody of the Association.
File:
We organize and preserve documents, photographs, publications, press, and audiovisual records related to the artist's life and work.
Catalogue Raisonné:
We are developing a research and systematic documentation project on the artistic production of Víctor Delfín.
The Workshop House
Since 1970, Víctor Delfín’s House-Workshop in Barranco has been a space for creation, gathering, and cultural participation. Artists, writers, intellectuals, activists, and workers have passed through its workshops, forming part of a history that transcends the individual trajectory of the artist.
Preserving this space and the materials it contains constitutes the origin of the Casa Taller Delfín Civil Association and continues to be one of its main responsibilities.
From the Archive
Our archive preserves documents that allow us to reconstruct moments in the career of Víctor Delfín and, through it, various histories of twentieth-century Peruvian art and culture.
We have audiovisual material, an extensive press archive, publications, and the artist's complete library.

INITIATIVE IN DEVELOPMENT
Artistic Legacy Preservation and Management Program
The experience of preserving an artistic legacy has also allowed us to recognize the difficulties that artists and families face when thinking about the future of a work, an archive, or a creative space.
LEGAR is an initiative under development by the Casa Taller Delfín Civil Association to transform some of these learnings into tools and capacities that can serve other artists and families in Peru.
