Collection
The Delfín Workshop House Civil Association safeguards a collection of works and objects linked to different stages of Víctor Delfín's artistic career and his creative processes. Their identification, documentation, and conservation are a central part of the preservation work carried out by the Association.
The collection
The Association safeguards a collection of works by Víctor Delfín that spans different periods, techniques, and moments of his career. The collection includes paintings, sculptures, drawings, and other pieces that remain linked to the Casa Taller, in addition to objects related to his creative processes and his history.
Documentation
The Association works on the identification, registration, and documentation of the works under its custody. This process gathers information on the technique, dimensions, date, location, provenance, and condition of each piece, along with photographic records and related documentation when available.
Conservation
Preserving the collection involves knowing the condition of the works and establishing appropriate conditions for their long-term care. The Association is progressively advancing in the evaluation of the pieces, the identification of conservation needs, and the improvement of the conditions in which they are stored or exhibited.
Research and access
The documentation of the collection forms a basis for studying Víctor Delfín’s production in greater depth and establishing relationships between works, periods, exhibitions, and materials preserved in the Archive. As this work progresses, the Association will seek to progressively expand access to the collection for researchers and other interested audiences.
