About the project
ONGOING PROJECT · STARTED IN 2025
Since 2025, the Delfín Workshop House Civil Association has been developing a permanent research and documentation project on the artistic production of Víctor Delfín, with the objective of progressively building his catalogue raisonné.
The project brings together and contrasts information on well-known works, including dates, techniques, dimensions, provenance, exhibitions, publications, photographic records, and related documentation. Its objective is to consolidate a reference source for the research and preservation of his work.
Objectives
Document
Gather and systematize information on the known works of Víctor Delfín.
Consolidate
Integrate photographic, technical, historical, and documentary records.
Reconstruct
Establish, whenever possible, information on dates, techniques, provenance, exhibitions, and publications.
Match
Link the works with documents and other materials preserved in the Delfín House-Studio Archive.
Grant access
Progressively build a reference source for researchers, curators, collectors, and other audiences.
The Catalogue Raisonné is a long-term project that will be expanded as research progresses and new works and documentary sources are identified.
Research and documentation
The preparation of the Catalog combines the review of works and records preserved by the Association with research in archives, publications, exhibition catalogs, photographs, the press, and other sources.
A central part of the project consists of locating and documenting works preserved in private and institutional collections and relating them to materials from the Delfín House-Studio Archive.
The gathered information is cross-referenced and progressively organized to build a consistent documentary record. The Association plans to publish the Catalogue Raisonné online and free of charge through successive installments.

Call for submissions
Do you own or have under your responsibility a work by Víctor Delfín?
The Association keeps an open call to locate and document works that are outside of its collection. The information received will help expand the registry of known works and may serve as a source for the research of the Catalogue Raisonné.
Register a work

The information provided will be treated confidentially. The submission of documentation does not guarantee the inclusion of a work in the Catalogue Raisonné. The Civil Association Casa Taller Delfín does not provide authentication or attribution services for works of art.
